STATEMENT: Build Up Local Recognizes Second Anniversary of Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

WASHINGTON – Two years ago, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law was signed, making billions of dollars of investment available for infrastructure projects across the country. Since the law's passage, Build Up Local has worked to educate business owners about access to contracts, workforce development programs, and relationships with important stakeholders within local and federal governments.

Ahead of the second anniversary of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Marc H. Morial, President and CEO of the National Urban League; Ying McGuire, CEO and president of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), and Rhett Buttle President of Public Private Strategies Institute (PPSI) released the following statement:

"The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is an unprecedented opportunity for business owners and entrepreneurs, including those from diverse communities. Build Up Local is proud to be improving access to contracting opportunities and providing funding resources from the legislation to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevards, Cesar Chavez Ways, Chinatowns, and Main Streets across the United States. Our economy thrives when local communities have access to federal funding, and gives Americans a chance to revisit and uplift infrastructure projects that have been historically left behind. We remain committed to working with business owners to make sure funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law gets to communities across the nation.”
