The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), signed into law on November 15, 2021, provides a significant increase in available federal discretionary grant funding. Each grant program has unique requirements and eligible project types. It is also important to note that some of the funding included in BIL is still subject to a future congressional appropriation and is not guaranteed. While BIL provides the majority of funding, other federal legislation includes additional grant programs that are detailed in this document.
